We like to be innovative so for this major refurbishment of Grade 2 listed Brighton Dome Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre we used a helicopter to get air handling units on the roof in just 15 minutes to avoid road closures and traffic delays. The transformation of the Corn Exchange includes essential conservation work to previously hidden heritage features while increasing seating and creating an impressive new viewing gallery. Our work on this and the Studio Theatre includes a complete building management system, heating, air conditioning and installing temporary chillers while hibernating the existing chillers.

ST JOHNS CHURCH

HACKNEY, LONDON

Coldplay, Robbie Williams and Ed Sheeran are just some of the musicians who have played at the Church of St John-at-Hackney, the Grade II listed London church in which we played our part in a multi-million-pound restoration. It's a functioning church involved in outreach work and community activities and we made life that little bit more comfortable for the people who work here. We fitted ventilation fans and MVHR units, converted 90kw boilers from oil to gas and supplied radiators controlled by our BMS system, as well as working on the commercial kitchen and staff kitchen, toilets and shower rooms.

ARBOUR PARK STADIUM

SLOUGH, BERKSHIRE

Slough's award-winning 1,950-capacity community sports and leisure facility is home to Slough Town FC and the region's only FIFA quality pro certificate 3G artificial pitch. All the mechanical and electrical aspects of this two-phase project, that allowed the club to fulfil its home matches, were down to us and included design and build of plant rooms, boiler houses and electrical switch rooms. Among the major plant installed were gas boilers, a building management system, air source heat pumps, heat recovery units, air conditioning and an automatic natural ventilation system used during the building of the pitch, changing facilities, a bar and kitchen plus a separate sports hall and classroom refurbishment for adjacent St Joseph's Catholic High School.
